Fronthouse

Guests should find you, and feel you, before they walk in.

Fronthouse is a small studio for independent restaurants and cafés. We build your website, brand and menu around what makes your place yours, so new guests know who you are before they arrive.

founded by Silvano Perez

A place is the people in it.

The best independent places know your name, your usual and how your week went. We think a website should do what your floor already does: make people feel expected, and start the conversation before they walk in.

Forgot a name? Someone on the team says it first.
  • Two cooks laughing at the dish sink, in black aprons and gloves.
  • The sushi chef slicing fish on a wooden board while a teammate talks behind him.
  • A cook slicing tomatoes on the line, afternoon light from the windows behind him.
  • A sushi cook cutting a roll in front of a wave mural.

Who's at the door

Founded by Silvano Perez.

I've worked in hospitality for eight years — hotels in Mexico first, and since 2022 a restaurant in Malibu, where I started washing dishes and now run operations.

  1. Every shift

We know most of our guests by name. The next day, we pick up the conversation where we left it.

  2. When the fires hit Malibu

Our team served free meals to residents and volunteers. Helping, even in a small way, changes something in you.

Fronthouse exists to reflect the people who own each place.

How we work

Three steps, in this order.

  1. First

    We listen.

We sit down with you, talk to a few people on your team, and read what your regulars say about you.

Everyone has a story. Hotel guests shared theirs with me when the lobby went quiet.
  2. Then

    We find what's yours.

The dish people bring friends for. The person they ask for by name. The thing a template can't hold.

  3. After

We build it, and we stay.

Site, brand and menu, built around what we heard. After launch we keep it current, so you can stay with your guests.

Working with us

What you can count on.

  1. We come to you.

We find your story at your place, in person, with you and your team.

  2. You have the last word.

We bring you what your guests really think. You decide what to do with it.

  3. Only what’s true.

No invented stories, reviews or promises. Your site says what your place really does.

  4. Your team, with their yes.

Everyone on your site chose to be there. When your team changes, your site changes with it.

  5. We stay.

If your site stops feeling like your place, we’ll help you bring it back.

No testimonials or numbers yet. When these places launch, we'll show what changed, with dates. More work goes up as owners give their OK.

Questions

Before we talk.

What happens on the free call?

I introduce myself and tell you how Fronthouse started. Then you tell me a little about you and your place. If it feels right, we take the next step together.

How long does it take?

About four weeks from our first call to a finished site, depending on how much we build.

How much of my time will it take?

About two to four hours with you at the start, to get to know you and how you think. After that, short conversations when we need them, and most questions can go by email. I’ll also come by at least three times during your rush, to see your place at its busiest and meet your team.

I already have a website. Do we start over?

We start from what you have. We keep what works and move it over carefully, so the people who already find you online still can.

Who owns the site?

You do. Your domain and accounts are in your name from day one. Once the project is paid, the design, words and brand are yours. We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio.
